The illustrations I created are an introspection of some of my thoughts that I had when I realized I wasn’t living my life. I vectorized my illustrations and screen printed them so everything in my project has a handmade quality down to the wood I chose to use. I wanted everything to have small detail, texture, and imperfections to reiterate that life is not perfect. The reveal of the messages behind the illustrations also emulate the deeper meaning to life may not easily be found, but it is there if you search. I want people to reflect upon their lives as I did, discovering the things that make them feel alive and do them often.
Photographs taken by Nik Wilcox, Ashley Hurst, and myself.
